Review methodology
The criteria, evidence levels and verification process behind Anavem reviews, comparisons and roundups.
Evidence levels
Every profile, review and roundup entry carries one of two labels:
- Documented — information was gathered from official sources (vendor site, documentation, pricing page, terms, repository). We have not used the tool ourselves.
- Tested — we used the tool for the task described. The page links to the evidence: task description, screenshots or logs, outputs, the version or plan used and the date.
Ranking criteria
Roundups publish their ranking criteria on the page. Rankings are never determined by affiliate status or advertising. Where we recommend something as "best" for a use case, the supporting evidence is shown.
Comparisons
Comparisons run the same task, with the same inputs, on each tool, and record the result. If a comparison is based on documentation only, it says so.
Pricing and plans
Prices are copied from the official pricing page and dated. Where prices depend on usage or seats we state our assumptions in a worked example rather than a single headline number.
Verification schedule
Each page has a last-verified date. Pricing and plan information is the most perishable and is re-checked most often. A page that has not been re-verified within its freshness window is flagged as unverified.
Limits
AI tools change quickly. Results depend on version, plan, prompt and date; the evidence we publish shows what we saw, not a guarantee of what you will get.
