Which data does Fathom access or keep?
Vendor states (Fathom Help Center, "Is Fathom secure?", 2026-10-03): none of its AI sub-processors (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) are contractually permitted to use user data to train their AI models; Fathom uses de-identified customer data to improve its own proprietary AI models, and users can opt out in My Settings (organizations on Team Edition can opt out all users in Organization Settings). All Fathom data is stored in the United States. The same page says Fathom is "HIPAA, SOC2 Type II, and GDPR-compliant" and does not have ISO27001; verify current status in the Trust Center. On deleting an account, all recording data and metadata are removed, and after an additional 7 days removed from backups.
Is there an API?
Yes. Fathom has a developer site with API docs, SDK docs, webhooks, OAuth and an MCP section (developers.fathom.ai, 2026-10-03).
